Sales the new way

Sales works where
people grow.

I build B2B sales that keeps working once I am gone: clear processes, resilient customer relationships and a team that knows its own strength. People and their individuality are at the centre of my work — the effect reaches the entire organisation.

Services

Six fields, one goal: a sales organisation that runs without me

Depending on where you stand, I work on a single building block or accompany the entire set-up — from the first customer conversation to the handover to your team.

Business Development & Go-to-Market

Market entry from zero — strategy, testing in the field and the proof that it holds.

  • Target market and competitor analysis
  • Positioning and sales narrative
  • Full 360° sales cycle, from first contact to closing
  • Validation in real customer conversations

Key Account Management

Building, developing and keeping strategic customers — by design, not by chance.

  • KAM structures built from the ground up
  • Account strategies and customer development plans
  • Negotiation through to signature
  • Strategic B2B partnerships

Sales Enablement & Training

Hands-on training for specialists and managers — not on a slide, but on the phone and at the customer's table.

  • New business acquisition and first contact
  • Objection handling and negotiation technique
  • Mindset and personal development
  • Onboarding of new sales staff

Interim Management

Sales responsibility for a defined period — when a position is vacant or a phase needs particular attention.

  • Leading field sales and inside sales teams
  • Sales roadmap and target system
  • Bridging vacancies
  • Guiding growth and transition phases

Sales Processes & CRM

Designing digital sales processes and anchoring them in the system — so the knowledge stays in the company.

  • Process design from scratch
  • Roll-out of modern CRM systems, including HubSpot
  • Pipeline logic and quotation process
  • Roll-out and team onboarding

Sales Controlling & KPI Tracking

Reporting that carries a decision — based on your quotation and accounting data.

  • Cross-functional management reporting
  • Metrics for budget, time and quality
  • Forecast and pipeline assessment
  • Close tracking against targets
Attitude

People buy from people

Sales problems rarely look like people problems. They look like an empty pipeline, a stalling forecast or a CRM nobody maintains. Behind them, almost always, sits a question nobody has asked: does this team actually know why a customer buys from them?

That is why I start with the person, not the tool. People who understand their own effect hold better conversations, listen more closely and negotiate with more confidence. Structure, process and CRM come afterwards — they are what make the result repeatable.

That is what sales the new way means: development of the individual, so that it takes effect across the whole organisation.

How I work

Understand first, then sell, then hand over

  1. Listen

I talk to you, to your team and to your customers. A plan only takes shape once it is clear where things really get stuck.

  2. Test in the field

I take on conversations, quotations and negotiations myself. What works shows at the customer's table — not in the concept.

  3. Anchor the structure

Whatever proves itself becomes process: documented, mapped in the CRM, backed by metrics.

  4. Hand over

Your team is trained and takes over. My assignment ends when sales carries on without me.

Typical situations

Does any of this sound familiar?

The product is ready, the market is missing — and nobody in the company has ever built a sales function from zero.

Revenue rests on two or three people. If one drops out, the pipeline stops.

A CRM is in place, but nobody maintains it and the numbers are no basis for steering.

The team explains features instead of hitting the customer's benefit — and negotiates itself down on price.

The head of sales position is vacant and running projects must not stall.

Products that need explaining meet long decision paths — and the close keeps moving further out.

About me

Robert Liebhold

Industrial engineer by training, in B2B sales of products that need explaining since 2013, self-employed since 2022. My roots are in industry: precision components, injection systems, piping systems — products nobody buys on the side.

As Department Manager Sales I led key account management, strategic sales and order processing, and held global process ownership across plants in Germany, China and the USA. Today I bring that experience to where sales is being built or rethought — from technology start-ups to established mid-sized companies.

I live with my wife and three children in Dossenheim near Heidelberg, Germany. Fluent German and English, good French.
